Cheryl Dockery: Leading with Purpose and People

Cheryl Dockery has served as Director of Human Resources of Evans Tool & Die/Metal Stamping, Inc. since 2019. Cheryl began her career in human resources management in 1990 where she worked for two large Atlanta-based law firms, Troutman Sanders and Swift Currie, and gained invaluable HR and management experience. She worked in the legal arena for over 25 years until she decided to leave the Atlanta-commute behind to work closer to home at which time she was introduced to the manufacturing industry. Cheryl has the proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and is well versed at being a liaison between and support to both the employer and employee alike. She is particularly experienced in the areas of recruitment, staff onboarding and coaching, performance management, employee relations and dispute resolution, employment law compliance, and overall employee benefits administration. Cheryl is a member of the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and has also served as a member of the ALA, Association of Legal Administrators (national and local Atlanta chapters). Together with an excellent team, Cheryl strives to display and teach others to live out the Evans’ core values of integrity, excellence, generosity, and accountability in her leadership role at Evans Companies.
